Independent manufacturing
expertise. No CEM agenda.
We spent 15 years running contract manufacturers and NPI teams for some of the UK's largest electronics companies. Now we help engineers and R&D teams design and produce products for manufacture, test and supply chain — with advice that's independent of any CEM's equipment.
Three Key Services. One Objective.
We work with engineers and R&D teams on the journey to manufacture their product — from initial design review through to managing your first production run and CEM selection.
Design Review
A full assessment of your data before it goes to a CEM who will want to alter the process or design to suit their equipment and tie you into their processes. We check for completeness, manufacturing risk, obsolescence, and anything that would drive up cost or complexity without good reason.
- BOM savings review — looking for cheaper alternatives
- Obsolescence review — highlight any parts with existing or upcoming supply issues
- PCB drawings & Gerber data completeness
- Assembly drawing audit — ambiguity & cost drivers
- Schematic review for errors or non-compliance
- Test strategy review & recommendations
- Package-to-part footprint verification
- “Should cost” pricing to guide CEM negotiations
- Alternatives identified for non-stock components
- Full PCB engineering queries answered to prevent production delays
Fractional NPI Director
Working on an hourly basis, we plug into your team as a senior manufacturing resource. We help draw up manufacturing plans, work alongside your engineers through NPI, and handle the complex production questions that would otherwise land on your desk.
- Manufacturing plans for investors & board presentations
- NPI process guidance & oversight
- CEM liaison — on copy, responding directly
- On-call during production for engineering queries
- PCB vendor selection & panelisation design
- PCB engineering query resolution
- Production risk assessment
Turnkey Prototype Management
Getting a small NPI batch through a CEM requires more management than most engineers expect. We handle the full supplier relationship — from selecting the right CEM for your build complexity through to resolving the issues that always come up. We are electronics engineers so when an obsolescence or supply issue does occur, we provide solutions rather than just giving you problems.
- CEM selection matched to your build type & volume
- Quote management & like-for-like comparison
- NPI batch co-ordination — keeping the build moving
- Production query handling (two-hour response target)
- First article inspection oversight & sign-off
- Issue resolution — yield problems, component substitutions, process queries
- Supply chain co-ordination & shortage management
From enquiry to completed review.
A straightforward process with no hidden steps. You deal directly with engineers at every stage, and your data is kept secure throughout.
Send an Enquiry
Use the contact section or portal to send a brief description of your project and requirements. Attach data if you wish — or just start with a message. We will respond the same working day with details for how to login to your customer portal.
Account & NDA
Login to the portal where you will have the option to sign our mutual NDA or provide your own. Once logged in you will see your enquiry converted into a project.
Upload Your Data
Log in to your client portal, create a project, and attach your files — Gerbers, BOM, assembly drawings, schematics, test documentation. Request a quote directly from the portal once your data is in.
Quote: Fully Itemised
We issue a quote through the portal. Once approved, an invoice is raised for payment — unless credit terms have been agreed. Work begins once payment is confirmed. Response times are anywhere from 24 hours for single assemblies up to a couple of days for complex multi-board projects.
Receive Your Report
Completed work is uploaded to your project in the portal. You will be notified when it is ready. All findings, recommendations, and supporting data are included in a structured report.
Any Questions
We remain available after delivery to answer any queries arising from the report. If issues come up during production that relate to our work, get in touch — we are happy to help clarify.
Everything in one place.
No scattered emails. No chasing updates. Every client gets a dedicated portal account where the entire engagement lives — from first file upload through to final delivery. Of course, we are also always available at the end of the phone too.
Secure file transfer
Upload Gerbers, BOMs, schematics, and assembly drawings directly to your project. No email attachments, no size limits lost in transit, no wondering if we received it.
Flexible payment options
Pay by card, bank transfer, or apply for 30-day credit terms — available to established clients with trading history. All invoices raised and managed through the portal.
Live project status
See exactly where your project is at every stage of the process — from enquiry through to complete. No need to send a chasing email to find out what is happening.
All correspondence in one thread
Messages, engineer responses, and project updates in one place, tied to your project. Nothing buried in an inbox. Nothing lost when someone is on holiday.
Invite your whole team
Once you have an account, invite colleagues to collaborate on your projects. Everyone sees the same files, messages, quotes, and updates — one account, full team visibility.
Quotes & invoices in-portal
Review, approve, and pay without leaving the platform. Every quote and invoice is attached to your project with a full audit trail — no paperwork scattered across email threads.

Engineers working for engineers.
No CEM bias — we have no equipment to sell
A contract manufacturer will naturally design your product around their processes and capabilities. We have no factory floor and no commercial reason to steer you in any particular direction. Our advice is independent.
Direct access to senior engineers
We are a lightweight team, which keeps our costs down and means you deal directly with experienced manufacturing specialists. There are no account managers, no ticket queues, and no escalation chains.
Problems caught before they become expensive
Fifteen years running CEMs means we know precisely what causes line stops, rework, and fines. A BOM obsolescence issue or an ambiguous assembly drawing found before build is far cheaper than one found at the CEM.
Qualified engineers who solve problems, not pass them back
Because we are qualified electronics engineers, part queries, obsolescence issues, and test failures get resolved by us directly — not handed back to you as a problem to deal with. Where any change or substitution is required, we will always advise you clearly so you have all the information you need and the final say on any decision.
Your engineers stay focused on the design
Production queries from a CEM can absorb significant engineering time. We handle that. We stay on copy, respond directly, and escalate where needed — so your team doesn't get bogged down with niche production questions from a CEM trying to cover their backs.
What clients have said.
"We sent them a BOM we thought was quite good. Veritex came back with two obsolete parts and a footprint that didn't match the component. Slightly embarrassing, but considerably less embarrassing than finding out as a line stop at the CEM."
"...Veritex's involvement meant I stopped getting walls of CEM emails at 8am that I didn't have the time or knowledge to deal with properly. Our NPI build finished on time which doesn't always happen. They're a good team."
"We needed something for the board that showed we'd fully thought about manufacturing, not just the design. After a quick call they put a plan together without any fuss. They're a really helpful group of specialists..."
